GRANITE

Granite has a rich beauty that few other countertop materials can match. It is a natural product with a timeless aura and appeal. It is living art and was once upon a time one with Mother Earth. Granite is a very hard substance and is not vulnerable to scratches unless susceptible to literal abuse. While not ideal to cut on because it will dull knife blades but it will take normal wear and tear very well. Granite resists heat without being damaged or weakened BUT up to a point. We rather recommend to love and care for your Granite by always using a chopping board to place your hot pots upon. Because every block the slab is cut from, is so unique, it cannot be matched perfectly again. If you opt for Granite countertops you will be guaranteed to be the only person with those exact tops. Mother Earth is not a copy and paste type of Lady.

MARBLE

Marble is much more feminine and fragile than its brother Granite. Marble is also very uniquely made by Mother Earth with its soft alongside strokes of gold and brass cloudy shapes and formations. Marble is not suitable for worktops due to the softness of the stone but its elegant beauty can be enjoyed in the form of Vanities, Coffee or side tables etc. If Marble is your option, be prepared to put in a little effort in on the love and care process.

QUARTZ

Quartz countertops material is a hard, manmade product used mainly in Kitchens and Bathrooms and are perfectly suited for worktop areas. Quartz is an agglomerate (or mixture) of stone-like materials bound with resins and pressed into 20mm thick sheets. It excels over natural stone because it needs no sealing, its resins are the sealants. Few imperfections in quartz materials show because its manufacture is controlled.

SILESTONE

Dekton; a leading quartz from Spain and within its own league, has a number of properties that make it a unique for indoor applications, but also, thanks to its resistance to the sun’s rays, it is perfect for outdoor surfaces, making it the versatile material par excellence. Dekton is also offered in slabs or varying thicknesses (4mm, 8mm, 12mm, 20mm & 30mm) that can be adapted to your design based on the application and the desired effect. Dekton can also be mitred and joined to give it a thick and solid appearance but still being as thin as 12mm. Dekton comes in various colours that perfectly resembles the elegant and majestic art of Mother Earth, closer to the magic of imitating her paintbrush you will never get.
